Clinical Case
Osteoarthritis is a frequent condition in the lower limbs (hip and knee), but it can also be found in the shoulder. The 65-year-old female patient, therefore relatively young, was suffering from concentric osteoarthritis on the left shoulder. He complained of significant pain and functional limitation. She underwent a cycle of intrarticular infiltrations of hyaluronic acid with high molecular weight and a rehabilitative treatment at the end of which she preferred to undergo anatomical prosthetic surgery. This type of prosthesis has the characteristic of precisely reconstructing the glenoid concavity and the convexity of the humerus head, can be implanted if the rotator cuff is intact, which is why pre-operative imaging is very important (X-ray, MRI and CT).
